Steve Rhode over at Open Source Blogging interviewed me about my recent move to deny copyright on everything I write.
And if you missed the announcement, go read about my decision to give everything I write away.

As a person who has made his livelihood by creating intellectual property and then selling it, not sure from a business standpoint I can endorse you giving away the fruits of your work.
However, the concept intrigues me and I wish you the best of luck with it. Perhaps it will take you down a path that leads to a whole new revenue model.

Gotta agree with Uncle Tom on this one I think. Interesting topic on the changing IP world with increasing internet use though. Sounds like a law school discussion to me!!! I would have to argue that I think you’re heading down a slippery slope (its always a slippery slope) by allowing unrestricted access to your work….how do you police/control what people attribute to you versus your acutal thoughts/creations?
Can you ever control what people attribute to you? To my knowledge, copyright doesn’t stop people from attributing stuff to you that you didn’t do. Weird Al and Stephen King (to name a few) are constantly being credited with stuff they didn’t do, some of which is good and some of which is bad, and some of which is really nasty.
